From Production to Products

BatesAI grew out of years spent running live productions and solving technical problems under pressure. That work highlighted what actually matters in tools people depend on every day: reliability, clarity, and staying out of the way.

Today the focus is lightweight, practical products—extensions and Mac apps that quietly remove friction for remote work, organization, and automation. After years of building systems for live events and broadcast, I shifted to software development to solve the everyday problems I kept running into. Most of the products here started as something I needed myself.
